When would I need this test?

Electrocardiograms are requested by doctors to diagnose irregular heart rhythms, heart attacks and to assess the effects of high blood pressure on the heart. These conditions may present with symptoms of chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations and episodes involving losing consciousness.
